Video competition (PARKOUR)

If you wish to enter this competition you will need to PM me the link to your video (use www.yousendit.com to host it, not putfile or youtube).

Your video should be jam-packed with parkour movements from your local training spots, i dont want any movements from far away places, and mostly to be new footage aswell please.

RULES*
-NO EFFECTS PLEASE, just normally cut clips

-no longer than 1 minute long with very short title/credits (no longer than 5 seconds)

-all parkour and in local spots

-DEADLINE = 1st November !!!!!!!!!!!!

-take your time, theres no point sending me a video now when you have a month+ to progress more.

-just you in the video and i dont mind fancy angles but theres no bonus points for them, its very much about the movements. -

but whats it being judged on?
complexity of moves?
strength?
speed?
size of jumps?
limbs broken?
number of bails?
all of the above?

yeah if its just simple cuts it sounds like your looking for the "best" traceur, which is hardly a video compo, more of a parkour compo.

please correct me if im wrong as i would like to enter this as long as its not simple parkour competition (whichi i dont particularly like)

not meaning to sound like a pompous grass or anything, just wanted to know....

P.S one last thing, woudl you prefer individual moves or short runs?

The aim is to try to make the best video of parkour using just yourself and simple cuts. We're looking at ability to some extent, but also how you use your home environment, how clever you are with what you have. A mix of short runs and individual moves may well be a good idea, or just purely one or t'other would work just as well. The reason we want to take away effects and other stuff like that is to encourage ingenuity in technique and approach to the parkour itself, rather than ingenuity in the direction and production in the video.

I'm not really down with the whole video/sampler thing, this does sound like a good idea so I might just do one

i'll give it a go, just to confirm they have to be 1min long? isn't that a bit short, i don't mind its just guys might be trying to pack in as much stuff as pos. either way i'm in guys, good idea drew or timmers

you can fit a damm lot of clips into 1 minute when cutting out effects reggie. good luck to all.
