Ok, i allways see people wanting to learn new tricks, asking for help, when there are allready hundreds of resources on the internet for all sorts of tricks.

We are only providing a safe place for less experienced people to come and have a go with an air track, carbon fibre track, trampettes, vaults and tables and safety mats. Not quite sure why u think I'm a retard, You are a bit strange, this site is supposed to be for information, not just attacks on people you don't even know!

It's about tricking tutorials, not backflips and flicks. Not gymnastics, if you had said "and we can teach you to 540, double leg ect" that would have been fine.

I agree that tricking is tricking and gymnastics is gymnastics yada yada, but often if you feel confident flicking and get used to rotations, falling, landing, run-ups etc it can help very much with a similar - all be it different, move.

nah. tricking is majority kicks.... gymnastics helps pretty much nothing. I've seen gymnasts try and trick and I've found alot find it quite hard to begin with as tricking doesn't follow the conventions of gymnastics at all. e.g. a gymnast will gfind kicks hard as kicks are not included in gymnastics. therefore if you want to learn tricking you learn tricking and there is no need for gymnastics at all. in fact if you watch most trickers their gymnastics are terrible for eample. nmost trickers will chuck their heads back in back tucks etc. (no offence meant)
I like both gymnastics and tricking and wish I could do more tricking but still find it hard due to mostly doing gymnastics/street stunts.

Yep - and I also agree with what you say about gymnasts and kicks / tricking. However, I have seen many-a tricker try out flips and include them in their repitoire - it is for that reason they need to pracitce them properly!

Perhaps if both 'sets' of individuals shared their expertise more often, for those that like to try out the other's discipline... maybe both would improve on their areas of weakness.

A jack-of-all trades is hard to come by and so sticking to what you know best is easiest. Doesn't mean you don't want to have a go though!

but most trickers wont learn gymnastics as if you watch tricking looks quite sloppy (although it takes a bell of alot more flexibility than simple gymnastics) and therefore their somersaults an such will also look sloppy however it will work with their discipline. which is why most trickers back summis don't look like summis because they do 'flashKICKS' as kicks is what they are best at. not alot of trickers have any gymnastical moves really most are back back full and front.

Haha, well im a tricker and i can tumble, i can double back onto matts and kick full ect on floor. But it was all self taught, and it's not part of tricking it helps me in no way, infact gymnastics you aren't taught to delay, if you do a standing tuck and jump straight up rotate on the spot then land, they will tell you it's wrong.

This will totally funk you up for tricking as alot of delay is essensial for moves such as double corks double btwists ect.

true but i was talking like gymnastics all round not just tumbling although now thinking of it trickers would be very suited for it due to flexibility. it's more just the form of trickers (or most I've seen) that would let them down.

Either way, the whole point is that this is a TRICKING tutorial thread. Not gymnastics...

And i think power tumbling is alot easier than tricking anyway...
